The “UNION OF GREEK INTERIOR DESIGNERS” (E.D.I.E.) and, in English, the “HELLENIC INTERIOR DESIGNERS ASSOCIATION” (H.I.D.A.) is the nationwide organization for interior designers, established through the initiative and merger of the following existing professional associations:
a) Association of Interior Designers of Central Greece (E.D.I.K.E.), an association founded in 1999.
b) Union of Window Dressers of Thessaly – E.DI.VI.THE., an association founded in 2004.
c) Thessaly Association of Exhibition Booth Decorators (E.D.I.E.P.E.TH.)—an association founded in 2004.
The members of the above Associations, considering necessary the existence single entity with common principles and goals, joined forces and organized the 1η National Meeting of the industry, the March 2012, with the aim of deciding on the creation of a single entity. Sixteen months later, (registration no. 32/4-7-2013) the July 2013, the Union is present and ready to embrace all colleagues.
The following are eligible for membership in the Association Interior Designers, Interior Architects, Landscape Designers, Industrial Designers, freelancers, employees, students, graduates from all over Greece, as well as those involved in the industry businesspeople, companies, artisans, manufacturers, educators, journalists, magazines, PEOPLE AND GROUPS, who act supportively and in solidarity with our work and want to participate as members of this new Panhellenic organization, believing in and acting toward a common perspective.

Goals and Objectives of EDIE
creativity is our secret
The goal of EDIE is to promote all forms of cooperation among its members, to advance scholarship and education, and to effectively protect their general interests, by demonstrating active solidarity in their professional and scientific activities in the fields of interior architecture, landscape architecture, product design, and teaching careers.
The primary goal and commitment of the founding members is to bring together as many colleagues as possible who share a common vision, and to ensure that the next board of directors includes representatives from all 13 regions of Greece.
The Union pursues public-benefit and educational purposes.
The activity of EDIE consists of the following objectives:
– The study, promotion, presentation, and dissemination of the principles and practices of interior architecture and design elements that ensure quality of life, by preserving or achieving conditions for the balanced, healthy, and ecological development of all types of human activities and interventions.
– Organizing education and training for members who are either self-employed or currently employed by private- or public-sector companies, or intend to work for such companies and their services in the future. Education will be provided primarily through educational programs, events, workshops, etc., of an educational nature, with a focus on continuing education, specialization, and training.
– The care and protection of the natural environment, as a space inextricably linked to the individual, as a member of the social whole, within which their health is protected and their personality develops.
– Ensuring that the above objectives are achieved even when the infringement of the aforementioned, illustrative objects of protection appears to be an isolated case of infringement, but which inevitably affects a broader national, regional, or even local area.
- Her participation in related entities, at a National and International level, and in cooperation with them, as well as in social bodies with similar purposes.
– Her emergence as an institutional advisor to the State in matters within her competence.
– The study, protection and promotion of the economic, insurance, professional and moral interests of its members.
– To raise their standard of living, professional standing, and cultural level, and to foster a spirit of professional solidarity and unity among them.
– To foster a spirit of solidarity among members and to prevent unfair competition.
– The systematic, active, and continuous monitoring of professional issues and the mobilization of the sector for their resolution.
– The establishment of a mutual aid fund to provide moral and material support to members.
– The securing of intellectual property rights for its creator.
