Students who choose to attend a vocational high school instead of a general high school can select the Applied Arts track. In this track, there is the heyjurisdiction “"Interior Design and Decoration"”
This specific specialty concerns the shaping of existing spaces using furniture, objects, and materials in a way that ensures the functional and aesthetic excellence of the space. The graduate of the Interior Design specialty can work initially as an assistant and subsequently, after acquiring professional experience, as a technician in organized professional environments in the private or public sector.

The Schools of Higher Vocational Training (SAEK). - former IEK (Public or Private) have Department of Interior Architecture, Decoration and Object Design two-year duration. Upon completion of studies, the trainee must take exams at EOPPEP in order to obtain the specialty certification. With the certification from EOPPEP, the trainee has the opportunity to take entrance examinations for graduates and be admitted to a University.

He/She exercises the following responsibilities/duties, only in very small-scale projects:
-Communicates with the customer and explores their preferences.
-Preliminary designs, designs, and completes the study of the decoration proposal.
-Prepares and submits the proposal to the client.
- Investigates and selects partners.
-Seeks, orders, and procures the materials.
- Monitors and supervises the project.
-Manages and executes administrative tasks.
-Researches for new customers and forms the business's client base.
-He/She is informed about developments and new products in the market.

Colleges are private educational institutions.
Each college operates with its own curriculum and lasts 3 to 4 years.
To be recognized by Greece, it must be approved by DOATAP.
In Greece, at a public university (Higher Educational Institution - HEI), you can study at department Interior Architecture at 2 universities. The studies last 4 years and you acquire the corresponding degree.
For admission to public institutions, success is required in national exams (Required specialized courses: Freehand and Linear Drawing) or successful completion of entrance examinations.

Graduates are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge in the science of Interior Architecture. Through the comprehensive knowledge acquired from their education, they operate in a very broad field of professional employment, as executives in the Private and Public Sectors or as self-employed professionals, either independently or in cooperation with other scientists, providing services related to the broader field of Interior Design. They can also be employed in education, in accordance with current legislation, as well as serve as members of research units in subjects related to their specialty.
Within the scope of their specialty, graduates can conduct studies related to the operation, quality, and sustainability of the interior space, with the aim of ensuring quality of life, health, and individual safety, in accordance with the principles of sustainability, social and professional responsibility, and applicable regulations.
